Birdseye Telescopes allow users to view the surrounding area. Birdseye Telescopes are displayed on the Elden Ring map once players find that locale's Map Fragment. Look for the icon highlighted below to get a lay of the land while exploring the Lands Between.

Once you've found a Birdseye Telescope, press Triangle on PlayStation controllers and Y on Xbox controllers to activate the item. Use the D-Pad to adjust the scope while utilizing this item to bring the surrounding area into focus. Make sure the area is clear of enemies before using the Birdseye Telescope, as the game will not pause while you're viewing the surrounding area.
