Dying Light offers a variety of choices for players across its meaty campaign that promise to impact the game's world, characters, and factions in profound ways. Early on in the game, players choose to stay behind during the Into the Dark quest and aid Anderson, one of the Peacekeepers. But should players risk their neck for this character?

Unfortunately, no matter which choice Aiden selects for this encounter, Anderson dies. The only difference is that trying to help her leads players through a scripted death scene for the NPC. If you feel like doing everything in your power to help Anderson, your efforts will end in vain.

Choosing to abandon Anderson gives players the same outcome, but without the lengthy cutscene and encounter accompanying Anderson's death. Instead of continuing the mission, players can pursue the next task in Dying Light 2. We recommend leaving Anderson, as the mission to save her comes with busy work in activating generators only to fail at keeping her alive.
