To get the Best Buddy Status with a Pokémon, players must complete a list of daily activities for hearts. When players get 300 hearts on their buddy Pokémon, they'll unlock Best Buddy Status. Players can check these activities in the Activities panel. There are several tiers of the Buddy leveling system, which are listed below:
- Good Buddy - 1 Heart
- Great Buddy - 70 Hearts
- Ultra Buddy - 150 Hearts
- Best Buddy - 300 Hearts
