With Final Fantasy XIV's latest expansion, Endwalker releasing for all players on Dec. 7, 2021, the servers of the popular MMO are more congested than ever before. With this unprecedented amount of traffic hitting Final Fantasy XIV, players are getting various error codes, including error 90006, which indicates that the user lost the connection with the server.
We've compiled several fixes to help when dealing with error code 90006:

- Relaunch the queue immediately after experiencing the error. This will often let you keep your place in line.
- Return to the launcher menu, log out of your Square Enix Account and log in again.
- Restart the Final Fantasy XIV application should the problem persist.
- Ensure your PC's firewall isn't blocking the FF XIV Launcher, as this can cause this error to happen indefinitely.
Many of Final Fantasy XIV's errors, including error 90006, are primarily due to the unprecedented stress on the game's servers. Unfortunately, these errors will remain consistent until more permanent fixes come from Square Enix. Rest assured, though, the team behind Final Fantasy XIV is working tirelessly to ensure the game runs at its best as soon as possible.
