New World has many resources, all of which can be gathered, refined, or crafted using the appropriate skill. In order to track a specific resource, you will first need to reach a certain skill level. For example, you can gather Silver at level 10, but will not be able to track it until level 35. This rule applies for all resources that are found around New World.
Once the required level has been met, resources will appear on the overhead radar. The only drawback, unfortunately, is that the resource won't show up on the map. This means you will need to explore and keep an eye on the radar for the appropriate symbol. Depending on the resource you find, you will need to use either a gathering, refining, or crafting skill to obtain it.
