In the Serpent's Head, players will encounter a samurai named Washizu kneeling beside a shrine. While harmless at first glance, speaking to him will initiate a Hidden Exploration Objective that trickles into a World Quest, uncovering one part of the chilling tragedy that befell Higi Village.
Part One: Washizu's Prayers
Start by heading northwest off the Maguu Kenki in the Serpent's Head to meet Washizu. His exact location is circled in the image below.
Speak with Washizu to initiate the Hidden Exploration Objective. He'll ask you to pray to the shrine thrice. Each time you do, a glowing purple orb will appear. After praying thrice, speak with Washizu again. He'll tell you to come back the next day.

Wait one real-time day and head back to the shrine. You'll find an Exquisite Chest in front of it. Once again, speak with Washizu, pray at the shrine thrice, and come back one real-time day after. Another Exquisite Chest will appear.
See Genshin Impact on AmazonAnd again, speak with Washizu, pray thrice, and come back the next day. You'll find a third Exquisite Chest. This marks the fourth day, which is the last day in this Objective.
Note: You can skip days—doing so won't affect your progress.
Speak with Washizu, who at this point seems to be on the verge of losing his mind. Pray to the shrine thrice, but on the third time, you'll be interrupted. In his descent to madness, Washizu will attack you.
Part Two: Sinister Instruction
After successfully defeating Washizu, he will drop the Quest Items Incomplete Notes and Tattered Paper. Head to the area behind the Incomplete Register and behind the house behind the quest marker in Higi Village.
In between the two Pyro torches, you will find a hidden Dig interaction. Interact with it to obtain an Exquisite Chest.
Completing this World Quest will also unlock the Achievement A Hollow Soul.
