Tier Changes and Demotion

  • Tier Demotion Protection is no longer infinite
    • You start each tier with a bonus 100 RP
    • If you fall to zero, you can take three losses before a demotion
    • A tier demotion will put you at 50% of the previous division
    • Example: Diamond IV demoted to 50% of the way through Platinum I
  • Bronze now has entry costs
  • Entry costs now vary across division
  • Entry costs begin at 15 RP in Bronze IV, and rise across each division by 3 RP
  • Entry costs max out in Predator at 75
  • Rookie tier added
    • Rookie tier is a one-time tier for players new to Ranked
    • There is no entry cost and once they get out, they will never play it again
    • You cannot be demoted from Bronze IV to Rookie
  • RP required for each division is 200 RP higher
