Genshin Impact isn't far away from its first major update 1.1, and with it comes a plethora of changes and new events to be had! There are so many things to do in the world of Teyvat, exploring, Abyss Domains, plus farming to get your characters Ascension levels as high as they can go! If you are after help with farming, we have guides for every character in the game, as well as the four new characters coming in 1.1 Zhongli, Childe, Xinyan, and Dionna. Now for those of you after achievements, one such achievement is the easiest and hardest one to acquire.
Diamond in the Rough
To complete the Daily Commission quest Diamond in the Rough, you must first go to Liyue Harbor and speak to the merchant called Shitou there. To find Shitou, head to the Alchemy NPC at Liyue Harbor and then head north and he should be there. If you have the quest Diamond in the Rough, he'll let you play a game, and if you guess correctly, you'll unlock the Wonders of the World achievement: Beginner’s Luck.
First, interact with Shitou, and he'll ask you to try your luck on a stone and how it could be your lucky day; then gives three options:
Sometimes you may not have the option to pick 2 or 3, so just go with 1, and it'll continue you onwards. After some dialogue, he'll ask you for your budget, four new options appear:
Pick option 3 the highest amount, and then he'll show you three stones of different colors to pick from. Now you have to pick the right stone to get the achievement. Four new options appear:
Selecting the take a closer look option allows you to look around the stones for a better view of them. Now one of the stones is meant to be more brightly colored than the other two, and you have to choose the correct one to win Shitou's game. This may or may not be random, as we have read plenty of accounts where people could not tell the difference between the three stones. We've also read that there was a difference, but for all, we know it could have been a lighting glitch. Just inspect each stone thoroughly, and in all honesty, hope for the best. You have the odds of 33.33% or 1/3, so take a guess if nothing is different for you.
After choosing a stone, if you are correct, Shitou will bring up a dialogue saying that yours was a winner, and the quest ends. That’s when the achievement Beginner’s Luck will be awarded with a bonus of 3200 Mora, 1 Cor Lapis, and 10 Primogem! If you are wrong, we believe you can make another attempt at getting this achievement when this quest appears on a Daily Commission again.
